Mark Seaton Yacht Broker Profile

Born in the British naval port city of Plymouth, Mark Seaton spent much of his youth racing sailing boats and working as a sailing instructor in the beautiful coastal waters of the South West of England.

Upon graduating from the University of Leicester (BA Hons Economics & Law 1998 ) Mark began his career in the advertising sales department of Boat International Publications in London.

He then progressed into luxury yacht sales and worked as an International yacht broker for a number of well-known brokerage firms in London & France before settling on the French Riviera in 2002.

Mark then established a business importing into Europe full-displacement trawler & explorer yachts built at shipyards in China.

This developed into a significant business venture with more than 50 new boats sold, project managed, built, imported via Hong Kong and delivered to customers all over Europe during a nine year period. 

With a growing client base, the move into selling 30-metre-plus superyachts was a natural evolution and is now his primary focus.

With a mix of experience, business acumen and educational background, Mark has a rare understanding of legal and financial matters and is a skilled negotiator able to structure complex International transactions.

Mark works within a network of corresponding yacht brokers across the world and with a team of technical, legal and fiscal advisers. He knows where and how to get things done for his clients.

Mark is also fluent in French.
